From the results of the study, an increase in the number of kaolin and the reaction temperature produces solid soap with a higher water content and pH, while free fatty acid content decreases and soap hardness becomes lower. Interestingly, this change does not affect foam stability in soap. The best results are obtained from soap with 15% kaolin at a reaction temperature of 50ºC, which has violent characteristics approaching conventional soap. While soap with 17.5% kaolin at 60ºC shows the characteristics of good water content and attractive organoleptic appearance.

This study shows that by utilizing natural ingredients such as coconut oil and kaolin, cleaning products can be produced that not only according to quality requirements, but also have the potential to be used in the purification process in accordance with religious teachings.
