The respondents were predominantly higher education graduates, with an average age between 36 to 55 years. They came from various tribes, including Batak and Padang, and the majority were women who had experience in trading for 7 to 10 years. Notably, all respondents stated that they had never attended training related to halal labelization.

Perception of Halal Labelization

The results of this study showed that many Muslim traders in Medan Sunggal District believed that the halal label on a product can increase consumer confidence. This suggests that they realize the importance of trust in business, especially among Muslim communities.
