Introduction

The results of the PCR amplification were then analyzed using the Numerical Taxonomy and Multivariate Analysis System (NTSYS) 2.0 program to get a picture of the genetic diversity of the Batak fish population.

The results of this study indicate that morphologically and genetically, the Batak fish originating from Batangtoru has a higher genetic closeness with fish from the Alian River compared to fish originating from the Bahorok River.
