Like other companies, they strive to reach the optimal level of utilization, which is defined as the percentage of the design capacity that was achieved. This indicator is crucial in preventing losses and ensuring the company's profitability and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the effect of oil quality on the level of utilization and explore efforts that can be made to improve it.

Background of the Study

Palm oil production is a significant industry in many countries, including Indonesia. PT. Nusantara II plantation is one of the companies that contribute to this industry. The company's main goal is to produce high-quality CPO and palm kernel. However, the production process is not without challenges. One of the major challenges faced by the company is the low level of utilization, which affects the company's profitability and sustainability. Methodology

This study uses a quantitative approach to analyze the effect of oil quality on the level of utilization. The study focuses on two main variables, namely free fatty acid content and moisture content, using multiple linear regression approaches. The data used in this study is collected from PT. The results of the analysis show that the two variables have a very strong relationship to the level of CPO production utilization, with a total influence of 70.7%. Simultaneously, these two variables contribute 50% of the influence on production utilization. However, free fatty acid levels do not show an individual significant effect on the utilization of CPO production. However, data shows that if free fatty acid levels decrease 1%, utilization can increase by 67,216 units. Likewise, the water content has no significant effect on utilization, but will experience an increase of 11,634 units if the water content decreases 1%.

Furthermore, analysis using the Fault Tree Analysis approach reveals that the causes of utilization that do not reach the target lies in four main factors: humans, machines, methods, and the environment. This cause is a challenge that must be overcome to increase production utilization at PT. Nusantara Plantation II.
